Distributed Generation

Invest in Distributed Energy Resources

Customers who invest in a source of Power by installing Distributed Energy Resources for their home or business can interconnect with Hutchinson Utilities Commission. Hutchinson Utilities Commission recognizes its obligation to provide interconnection to eligible qualifying facilities and will comply with all applicable laws and rules governing distributed energy resources.

Please review the Adopted Cogeneration Policy and Rules for more information.

Customers shall review and complete required documents before beginning installation of Distributed Energy Resources.  Approval is required. Questions can be directed to Dave Hunstad, Electric Transmission Distribution Manager via email or by telephone at (320) 234-0508.
