Commercial Customer;

To promote Energy Conservation, Hutchinson Utilities Commission (HUC) is offering rebates to commercial customers in Hutchinson who perform energy conservation improvements to their businesses.

These rebates are available on a first-come/first served basis until funds are depleted. Rebates are offered on items from a prescriptive list. The items must be installed while funding is in effect. The prescriptive list of rebate items is available at the link to the left or in our main office. In the event the program is discontinued due to depleted funds, HUC will not provide a rebate for items installed between the discontinued date and the end of that year. These rebates are limited to one application per service address, and, no more than 25% of project total for each commercial service address. Applicants with special equipment not found on the prescriptive list can apply for a Custom Rebate. Custom Rebates must be submitted and approved by HUC prior to a rebate being issued. Contact HUC, at (320) 587-4746, to make sure funds are still available prior to making your purchase.

Lighting, Natural Gas Furnaces, Gas Boilers, Air Conditioners, Gas Water Heaters, Heat Pumps, Motors and VFD's, etc, must be installed by a licensed professional contractor. Receipts and application shall reflect contractor's name, signature and fees.

This offer is effective from January 01, 2010 until funds are depleted, whichever comes first. Purchases made prior to January 01, 2010 will not be accepted.

Return your original detailed paid receipt and application form (name on application must match name on utility account) and HUC will reimburse you for the amount indicated on the prescriptive list up. The application forms are available at the HUC office at 225 Michigan St. or print them from the links on this page. Once the application has been approved, a check will be mailed to you within 4-6 weeks.
